Techno is a form of electronic dance music. It originated in Detroit Michigan. there are many forms of techno and i mean many. they range from Detroit techno (the first genre) to something as different as speedcore (with a BPM of 200+). My favorite genres of techno are: hardcore, happy hardcore, hard trance, hardstyle, terrorcore, speedcore, and darkcore. what i like the most about techno is that anyone can make some form of techno with a PC, and also the vast sub-genres make it a unique style of music. If someone told me that they like techno the first thing i would ask is what kind? alot of people say they like techno but what they actually are listening to is dance music which is not the same style of music at all. Daft Punk is not techno!
Metal is my favorite style of music, theres nothing that isnt good about it. there are so many different genres of metal these days its pretty crazy. There is so many genres in fact that people argue about what band fits in what genre. Some of my favorite genres of metal are: death metal, melodic death metal, metalcore and deathcore. Of course i like more but those are my absolute favorites. Metalcore and deathcore are some of the newer breeds of metal. Metalcore combines metal and hardcore punk, where as deathcore is death metal and metalcore fused together. Everyone that doesnt like metal always complains about the vocals, but what they dont know is that there are many genres of metal that have clean vocals in them. People think metal is angry and hateful, that is not always true. People just need to give metal a chance instead of just shunning it because of the vocals.
